It is exscitron GmbH's declared goal to design and develop innovative customized switch-mode power supply units. Our close cooperation with "inpotron Schaltnetzteile" as manufacturing company is of great benefit in this respect.

exscitron – Design and development with an eye for sustainability

What does a medium-sized company do if it is located in a beautiful area that happens to be situated on the outer periphery of the federal republic, if there aren't enough specialist engineers on hand? Well, it just founds a subsidiary in a location where this rare species can be found. And this city is Chemnitz, where exscitron has been located since November 2008, concentrating on and committed to the development of customized switch-mode power supply units.

At the heart of exscitron are three experts at developing power supplies who have gained many years of experience at well-known companies such as Artesyn Technologies, Puls, Finepower and Blum. Stephan Gruber, Managing Director of exscitron, and his colleagues René Franzky and Winfried Beyer are backed by a strong company with its head office in Hilzingen at Lake Constance. Here, at the new, efficient premises with its modern plant, cost-effective, customized switch-mode power supply units and system solutions of 0.5 to 1 000W are manufactured. Expanded development capacity in the form of an independent firm means that the South German production capacity can benefit and grow, as planned by inpotron Managing Director, Hermann Püthe.

The prognosis is good, as exscitron's Stephan Gruber is both a realist and a visionary. "Electric energy is the energy for the future. The development of innovative, sustainable electrical appliances holds enormous potential for the whole economy. And since a switch-mode power supply unit is part of almost every electrical appliance, and its quality determines how well the whole system functions, we have our hands full developing energy-saving, small, yet robust switch-mode power supply units."

Stephan Gruber sees another great potential future market in mobility concepts based on electricity. "As soon as battery technology, which is being worked on frenziedly worldwide, has been optimized, electric-powered vehicles will know no bounds." – Ahead of the dynamic team in Chemnitz there is a lot of development to come, many prototypes to be constructed and a lot of decisions to be taken throughout the production process – the future of exscitron and its clients certainly looks good.
